Africans Must Rally behind Madagascar’s Covid-19 “Cure” – Ablakwa

Member of Parliament (MP) for North Tongu, Okudzeto Ablakwa has urged Africans to rally in support of the famous herbal medicine purported to be used in treating Covid-19 patients in Madagascar.

Addressing the criticisms that the supposed covid-19 “cure” has faced, the MP said “the prejudice against anything from Africa must be boldly confronted”.

Meanwhile Ghana’s Food and Drugs Authority (FDA) says it will conduct some tests on the famous herbal medicine before it is adopted in the country.

The Director-General of the Ghana Health Service (GHS), Dr Patrick Kumah Aboagye noted that, in spite of the pressure on the Akufo-Addo government to use the herbal concoction, due diligence needed to be done before the supposed Covid-19 cure can be used in the country.

However Okudzeto Ablakwa via a twitter post yesterday said, Africans should accept the "covid-19 cure", adding that “Africa may just save the world from this deleterious disease”

So far, countries such as Congo, Tanzania, and Guinea-Bissau have received packs of the product.
