Member of Parliament for Assin Central, Hon. Kennedy Agyapong has accused the International Monetary Fund (IMF) for playing nemesis against the Nana Akufo-Addo’s government.

According to him, the president’s implementation to make Ghana a self-sustaining country beyond aid is been sabotaged by the IMF, a recurrence during the time of Dr. Kwame Nkrumah by the CIA against educating the Black people.

“This is what Akufo-Addo wants to do and he’s facing challenges; the whole world wants to make him unpopular just as they did to Kwame Nkrumah; the CIA was behind the coup that overthrew Nkrumah because they realised that Nkrumah was educating the black people to liberate themselves,” he said.

Hon. Kennedy Agyapong spoke that the mind is the force employed by the IMF to undermine African countries unless leaders educate nationals on how to embrace professions of self-sufficiency and quit relying on white people.

“After physically putting us in chains, now they are using their minds to beat us and we are always going to be underdogs unless we liberate ourselves; and we can only liberate ourselves when we are self-sufficient and reduce the dependence on these white people”, he noted.
