Finalizing the separation between the 30-year-old pop artist and the 28-year-old real estate broker, a Los Angeles Superior Court ruling was made on Tuesday.

Ariana Grande will give Mr. Gomez a one-time payment of $1.25 million (£980,000) as part of their settlement.

Granted irreconcilable differences, Grande filed for divorce half a year ago.

Shortly before the Covid-19 pandemic, the couple started dating in January 2020. In May 2021, they were married in a "tiny and intimate" ceremony at her Montecito, California, home.

Apart from the initial payment, Mr. Gomez will receive half of the profits from the sale of their Los Angeles residence as part of the settlement.

Along with no further alimony, Grande will also contribute up to $25,000 for his legal bills.

The couple had a prenuptial agreement in place when they separated more than a year ago, according to court documents. The divorce was finalized swiftly because they had no children and no legal difficulties.

According to his profile on the AKG website, Mr. Gomez, who was raised in southern California, has been employed in the luxury real estate sector for ten years.

In February 2020, he and Grande were first seen sharing a kiss at a Los Angeles restaurant.

Their first public appearance as a couple was in the lockdown music video for Grande and Justin Bieber's song, Stuck With U, released in May of that year.

The pop singer revealed her engagement on Instagram that December, writing the words "Forever n then some" under the picture.

The seventh studio album by two-time Grammy Award winner Ariana Grande, called Eternal Sunshine, was released on March 8.

Alongside US actor Jeff Goldblum, Malaysian actress Michelle Yeoh, English Tony Award winner Cynthia Erivo, and Oscar winner for musical Wicked, she will also be starring as the good witch Glinda in the film adaptation.

November is when the movie is supposed to be released.
