Alf-Inge Haaland, and agent Mino Raiola’s meeting with Joan Laporta over the transfer of hitman, Erling Haaland has been positive, transfer guru, Fabrizio Romano has confirmed.

Soireenews reported on Thursday that Barcelona have entered the race to sign the Borussia Dortmund youngster who has registered 33 goals in 31 appearances in all competitions this season.

Top clubs across Europe have all revealed interest in the 20-year old including Real Madrid, Manchester City, Chelsea and Juventus and per Mino Raiola’s approach, discussions will be made with concerned clubs until the right choice is made for the Norwegian.

“The meeting between Mino Raiola, Erling Haaland’s father and Joan Laporta has been positive. It was the first contact to discuss about the new Barcelona project – obviously there’s nothing done or advanced, race will be long as many clubs are involved… Barça are in.

“Mino Raiola will meet/talk also with other top clubs in the next weeks… and Bayern Münich are *not* in the race for this summer. Raiola also met with BVB this week to discuss about the price as Haaland’s clause will be NOT valid in 2021, only in July 2022.”

Although talkSPORT’s European football expert Mark Langdon recently revealed the Premier League is Haaland’s most likely destination due to financial problems at Barcelona and Real Madrid yet the Spanish interest cannot be ruled out due to the proficiency of the forward.

Borussia Dortmund sport director, Michael Zorc recently confirmed he has met with Raiola and Haaland will not be sold for anything less than £127million (€150m).

Raiola also engaged Real Madrid and will travel to England to hold talks with City and Chelsea.
