Benevolent Organizations And Individuals Donate More Relief Items To Flood Victims In Upper Manya Krobo

The assorted relief items were donated by Citi FM/Citi TV to the Member of Parliament (MP) for the area, Honourable Bismark Tetteh Nyarko who sought the assistance of benevolent organizations and individuals to come to the aid of the flood victims.

IT HAS EMERGED that a cargo -load of assorted relief items today arrived at Akateng in the Upper Manya Krobo District of the Eastern Region for flood victims caused by the Akosombo and Akuse dams spillage.

The assorted relief items were donated by Citi FM/Citi TV to the Member of Parliament (MP) for the area, Honourable Bismark Tetteh Nyarko who sought the assistance of benevolent organizations and individuals to come to the aid of the flood victims.
The items include bags of maize, rice, sugar, gari, cooking oil, biscuits, satchet/bottled water, detergents books and stationery and mattresses among other essentials.
The Citi FM/ Citi TV crew was led by Mr Umaru Sanda Amadu.

"We were touched by the sad narrative of the MP about your situation  just a few days ago." Mr Umaru Sanda Amadu said. "We had to mobilize our resources to attend to the urgency that the MP attached to the request". The leader continued.

Honourable  Bismark Tetteh Nyarko who received the relief items on behalf of the people was so appreciative for the quick response Citi FM/Citi TV attached to his request.
" All affected communities such as Akokorma, Puorkpe, Akrusu and all affected communities will benefit from the relief items." The MP said.
The Honourable Member of PARLIAMENT commended Citi FM/Citi TV for living up to the tenents of good media practice.

" Keep it up, because you have well trained and seasoned media personalities and good management at Citi FM/Citi TV," the MP said.
