District Assembly Elections: We Are Tired; Stop The Imposition Of Brass Dedzo On Us–NDC Members Warn Anlo MP And Constituency Chairman
THE MEMBER of Parliament (MP) for Anlo Constituency in the Volta Region,Honourable Richard Kwami Sefe and Chairman of the Anlo Constituency of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr Agbey Miheso have incured the wrath of the Committee of Concerned and Committed members of the NDC at the Dzita Electoral Area.

According to them, there were tired of the impossiton of Mr Dedzo on them to vote for him as the new Assembly member for Dzita Electoral Area of Anlo Constituency and called on the Volta regional executives of the NDC to, immediately call the two top personalities of the party  to order in order to forestall peace and unity within the NDC in the area.

"We have become aware that Samuel Brass Dedzo, whom many well meaning citizens of Dzita describe as a suitable candidate for Torkor Atorlia, is being promoted and financially supported by the Constituency Chairman, Agbey Miheso and the Member of Parliament for Anlo, Honourable Richard Kwami Sefe, to contest the upcoming District Assembly Elections against the candidature of Dr. David Normanyo, a former branch executive of the party," the members of the NDC raised an alarm in a strong worded petition to the Volta Regional Executives of the NDC and copied to Soireesnews.com.
The two page petition which was signed and issued by the Convenor  of the Committee of Concerned and Committed Members of the NDC at the Dzita Electoral Area called on the NDC Volta Regional Leadership to address our concerns swiftly.
Until four years ago, the petitioners pointed out Mr.Dedzo was the Assembly Member for the Dzita Electoral Area, a position he held for twenty years.
Though not the best for the Dzita community, the petitioners noted that he was tolerated for those wasted donkey years.
According to the petition, his tenure of office was characterised by hijacking of the party, ack of accountability,  moral turpitude, corruption and conflict of interest, terrorism and hijacking of public facilities.
On the hijacking of the NDC, the petitioners asserted that Mr.Dedzo has used his constituency position to interfere with the party and its activities at Dzita.
"He has custody of all four branch registers and would not allow new members to be recruited into the party. During the last branch executive elections, he interfered in the sale of nomination forms, ensuring that none of the old executives got the chance to contest the election, hereof manipulating the elections in favour of those he considered loyal to him.
 Mr.Dedzo's conduct has expelled many
youths into the New Patriotic Party, evidenced in the increase of votes in recent years in the Dzita Electoral Area.
Lack of Accountability
During his tenure, the petition noted that Mr.Dedzo should, as usual of our party, have accounted for his stewardship to demonstrate his 'NDCness.'
Instead, the petition said he insubordinately disregarded the Chiefs and stakeholders, which hindered cordial relationships and mutual collaboration.
During the last election, the petition pointed out Mr.Dedzo did not contest, and a new Assembly Member was elected.
It stressed that the Chiefs and the community elders  invited Mr.Dedzoto account for his 20year stewardship, but he refused, telling them he did not work for them, so they were not entitled to any account from him.
Moral Turpitude
Mr.Dedzo lacked the moral right to lead. He impregnated his wife's younger sister, Mary Kunya, destroying the brilliant girl's life forever. He has taken Martha and Vilawoe from their husbands.
Heabused his power, sleeping with many women, including mothers and daughterswho
approached himfor help. Worse of all, he took advantage of a vulnerable dump and deaf girl,
“Tokunorvi”, whom he sexually harassed several times and had a child named Edzorna with her.
Terrorism
The records show that anyone who contested Mr.Dedzo suffered a mysterious bad fate after the elections. Mr.Dega Agbemavor and Mr.Ibrahim Yao Ganah died a few weeksafter contesting him during the District Elections in 1997 and 2007, respectively.
Mr.Alex Dzanyiekpor narrowly escaped death in a motor accident a few days after the election of 2002. As a result, he held the town hostage for 20 years as an Assembly Memberuntil he decided not to contestthe last election.
Corruption and Conflict of Interest
During his tenure as an Assembly Member, Mr.Dedzo doubled as a contractor and was awarded a contract to construct a toilet facility for Dzita.
He was paid fully, but the facility, which he unilaterally cited next to his house, is still not completed for the community to use.
Hijacking of Public Facilities Mr.Dedzo hijacked public utility facilities, such as public water points, and proceeds from selling
premix fuel.
He took over the sale of the community water and applied proceeds for his benefit, denying the town much needed revenue for development.
The petitioners pointed that he also pocketed the town's share of premix oil proceeds for his personal use, and nobody could talk for fear of their lives.
For these reasons, "we are dissatisfied and disappointed in two top personalities of the NDC for campaigning and supporting Samuel Brass Dedzo against a more credible and accomplished candidate, Dr. David Normanyo.
The Committee of Concerned and Committed Members of the NDC in Dzita Electoral Area, therefore, urgesthe NDC Leadership at the Regional Level to  call Mr.Agbey Miheso Honourable Richard Kwami Sefe, to order before they destroy the party's support base at the Dzita Electoral Area.
The petitioners noted that the 2024 general election is too important to be sacrificed for one man’s insatiable greed for power
