Following the collapse of the Ejuraman Anglican Senior High School make shift Dining hall last Monday 6th February 2023 injured about 50 students with various degrees of injuries, the Chief of Ejura Divisional Council 

Barima Osei Hwedie II has paid a visit to the school to commensurate with parents, students and authorities.

Speaking at the Parents and Teachers Association (PTA) meeting held at the school premises, he said upon hearing the incident, he became worried and as chief, he can't sit unconcerned hence the need for this visit to wish the injured students, parents and staff of the school well.

Barima Osei Hwedie II, Ejurahene who is also the Director of Protocol at the Office of the Vice President added that immediately after he heard the incident he informed Vice President Dr Mammud Bawumia and he promised him that the Government is going to build an ultra-modern dining hall for the school very soon. 

"Due to the urgency of it the Vice president has directed the GETFUND to immediately send consultants to the school to start the process of constructing a befitting dining hall," he said.   

On the part of the Injured students, Barima Osei Hwedie II said he and the Ejura Divisional Council have taken the bills of one student who suffered a fractured leg whom doctors needed over GHC 10.000 for surgery and medical bills of about 50 students.

"I have also told the Municipal Chief Executive and the Assembly to help pay all additional costs incurred after the disaster," Nana said.

He took the opportunity to also reveal that Ejura-Sekyedumase Municipal has gotten its share of the national cake which is the "AGENDA 111 PROJECT" to be built in Ejura on a piece of land the divisional council will provide.
