Bruno nods home United's second

Bruno Fernandes brace and Edinson Cavani’s debut goal gave Manchester United three points at Goodison Park after Bernard had given the host the lead.

The win is the Red Devil’s seventh successive away league game victory, equaling the longest away winning run in the club’s senior League history.

It also is the third consecutive defeat for Carlo Ancelotti this season after Southampton ended his side's five-game unbeaten run last month.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer made two changes from the side that lost 1-0 at home to Arsenal - Paul Pogba and Mason Greenwood dropped, with the latter not in the squad as Anthony Martial took his position after missing the Gunners game through suspension.

Six changes were made to the side lost 2-1 to Newcastle United – Rodriguez and Coleman returned from injury, Digne played after his one-game suspension and Brazil forward, Bernard made his first appearance.

It took 19-minutes for Bernard to announce his presence in the game when he gave the Toffees the lead. Following Pickford’s launch of a goal kick, Lindelof carelessly flicked the ball towards the Brazilian’s path on the left and he drilled a low shot into the bottom corner of the net.

Six minutes later, Bruno Fernandes levelled the scores when he jumped to meet Luke Shaw’s cross into the far corner of Everton’s net. It was the visitors best move of the game having sat back most of the times and waited to hit Everton on the break.

Fernandes scored the second goal in the 32-minute to put Man United in the lead. Fred and Rashford ensued in a great buildup before the Portuguese welcomed a pass. He floated a gorgeous ball into the yard- Rashford tried to get the faintest touch yet the ball knocked on the woodwork to cross the line for the second.

Everton started strongly in the second half but lacked the cutting edge. Their talisman, James Rodriguez was not allowed to make any meaningful impact by the Manchester defence - they closed the Colombian down anytime he was on thee ball.

Rashford was prevented a third in the 72-minute when he beat the offside trap to receive a great pass from Fred. He shot straight at the advancing goalkeeper to be denied.

When Everton kept blasting all their connect in front of United's box in the air, Cavani was easily served for Manchester United's third and his first since joining the club in the summer.

United broke from the back with Everton keeping men upfield and after a heck of a long run to the opponent's penalty area, Fernandes put the ball on a plate for Cavani to finish coolly inside Pickford's near post.

United climb to 13th on the table with 10 points.
