The Covid-19 Frontline Health workers of the Tamale Teaching Hospital have called off their strike which was scheduled to take effect today.

SN24 News reported yesterday that the Covid-19 Frontline Health workers consisting of, Doctors, Nurses, laboratorians, pharmacists, orderlies, and security of the Tamale Teaching Hospital announced to withdraw their services on 12th March 2021 over nonpayment of their 7 months’ basic salaries areas among other factors.

However, the latest development suggests that the health workers have suspended the strike.

According to reports, the Regional Health Director and management of the Tamale Teaching Hospital had a dialogue with the Frontline workers and assured them that, their issues will be addressed as soon as possible, hence the call off the strike.
