Gordon Kwaku Asubonteng, a former municipal chief executive of Dormaa Central, has urged the Akufo Addo-led government to either get up and start addressing the needs of the populace or get out of the way.

He claimed that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government had failed Ghanaians and even made their economic situation worse.

The real business of government had been neglected, according to the Honorable Gordon Kwaku Asubonteng at Dormaa Ahenkro. Instead, during the entire time it had been in power, the Npp had launched a campaign of hatred against former President Mahama and NDC party officials.

He claims that the industry, which the NDC administration had built when it was in power and which supported the municipality's light industrial area, is now the NPP's One District One factory.

He added that the NDC administration first gave about Gh 450,000 to chicken farmers to support the poultry industry, but that the scenario is now different.
