A call has been made to the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Dr. George Akuffo-Dampare, and National Security Minister, Mr. Albert Kan Daapah to use their offices to deal with some self-seeking elders and individuals who have been found of fomenting trouble in Prampram Traditional Area in the Ningo-Prampram District of the Greater Accra Region.

The Principal kingmakers, accredited elders, and royal heads of families in Prampram who made the forgoing call stated that it is not the time for the IGP and the National Security Minister to put in place security measures to help bring sanity in the area, since the Prampram Paramountcy chieftaincy dispute is now, after the peaceful installation of Nene Tetteh Waka III.

They sounded a strong word of caution to some media practitioners to, immediately stop their continuous habit of fomenting trouble by way of writing negative stories to destroy the integrity of the Paramount Chief of Prampram Traditional Area, Nene Tetteh Waka III.

Addressing a press conference in Prampram yesterday, the kingmakers pointed out that the media practitioners should desist from supporting these seeking elders to create unnecessary trouble in Prampram.

They pointed out that the Ghanaian media is fully aware that the Prampram Paramountcy chieftaincy dispute is over and that Nene Tetteh Waka III is the only recognized traditional, legal, and constitutional installed paramount chief of the Prampram Traditional Area.
According to them, Nene Tetteh Waka III, after his installation in the full glare of the media was on February 11, 20019 taken through the customary rituals of the area to signify his installation.
Against this back, the Chief Linguists of Prampram Traditional Area, Numo Opey on behalf of the kingmakers called on the public to disregard any person claiming to be chief of the area, since they had installed Nene Tetteh Waka III as the legitimate Paramount Chief to ascend the throne.

They further called on the general public to disregard the current media report of the faceless group calling itself Pramrpam Royal Youth who have petitioned what they called kingmakers of the three royal gates to as a matter of urgency put in place measures for the installation of a new paramount chief for the area.
The youth group who were numbered in their hundreds besieged the residents of the paramount stool father Numo Osabu Abbey to present a petition on behalf of natives of Prampram whom they say agree with calls for the enstoolment of a new Chief.
But in a quick, the kingmakers described the report of the youth as unfounded, saying that Prampram has a legitimate paramount chief who is the person of Nene Tetteh Wakah III.

"Even the so-called youth going to the house to petition Numo Osabu Abbey claiming the stool father of Prampram is very a wrong move which is a disaster to the Prampram Paramount stool.

"This because Osabu Abbey is not the rightful paramount stool father and that the legally gazetted and installed stool father of Prampram is Numo Osabu Teye Larbi Abbey III," they set the record straight.
"The Gyaase of Prampram comprising of the Annor We, Ablewankor family and Osu Wem making the principal Kingmakers of Prampram wishes to sound this final word of warning to all individuals and journalists who have been rented to dent the good image of Nene Tetteh Wakah III paramount Chief of the Prampram Traditional Area and President of Prampram Traditional Council to desist from doing so or face the full vigorous of the law.
"We also want to state unequivocally that the avenue of settling Chieftaincy matters is not the media, also all grievances should be channeled to the appropriate avenue.
Moreover, the kingmakers informed the general public and good citizens of Prampram to treat the said petition as malicious, misleading, and also treated with all the contempt it deserves.
According to them, Nene Tetteh Wakah III paramount Chief of the Prampram Traditional Area and President of the Prampram Traditional Council has been duly and lawfully Gazetted and inducted both into the Prampram Traditional Council as president and the Greater Accra Regional House of Chiefs as a member of going through all the necessary rites.
