IMANI Africa a think tank has finally sent to the Indian government five (5) names of Ghanaian Essay Writers for onward selection.

According to a write-up by the founder and President IMANI Africa Franklin Cudjoe and cited by Soireenews.com indicated that IMANI had opened for applications for essay writing on the topic “Challenges and Opportunities the World's Biggest Democracy Must Deal with to keep its Status”. 

In all, they received 125 Essay applications and the best 5 were selected to India that included Grace Akosua Dankwa, Millicent Koranteng-Yorke, Anum Comfort Adjeley, Isaac Bensir Oduro, and Alhassan Abukari.

It was the Indian Commissioner to Ghana H.E. Sugandh Rajaram who proposed to IMANI to submit the names of 2 Ghanaian students for a visitor's programme.

Following a request by the High Commissioner of India, H.E. Sugandh Rajaram for IMANI to provide the names of two Ghanaian students for a Visitors' Programme of the Indian Council for Cultural Relations, I am happy to announce that the following five candidates submitted essays that satisfied the IMANI marking scheme. 

IMANI received 125 essay applications. The essay topic was “Challenges and Opportunities the World’s Biggest Democracy Must Deal With to Keep its Status”

We have submitted the five finalist essays and CVs to the Indian High Commission, which reserves the right to reach its own conclusions after reading the five essays and assessing the CVs with our guidance.

The programme's duration will be 7-10 days in India during the next financial year (when Covid restrictions on movement would be lifted) and includes sightseeing of archaeological sites, museums, Parliament, think-tanks, yoga institutions, National Stock Exchange, etc. and will have sessions/round table discussions/ interaction with Universities, think-tanks, media, depending upon their profile. Free economy class return ticket, local transport, and boarding & lodging will be provided. 

 Upon return, the students will be expected to write an article on India which may be published on social media/ print media, etc. The successful candidates will be offered automatic internship opportunities with IMANI.
