The Presidential candidate for the Liberal People’s Party, Percival Kofi Akpaloo has congratulated Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo for the victory ascertained in the 2020 Presidential Elections organized on Monday, December 7, 2020.

Speaking to Kessben FM on Tuesday night ahead of the official declaration of the 2020 elections by the Electoral Commissioner, the Presidential candidate revealed that the choice of Ghanaians must be respected, therefore Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo irrespective of their political position must be commended.

“Ghanaians said they like Akufo-Addo. After collating all my pink sheets, Akufo Addo is the man Ghanaians want and he deserves to be applauded. Combining all our vote to Mahama, there is no way we can compete with Nana Addo, we are all losers since Ghana has finally decided,” he said.

Asked how he came to a conclusion declaring Nana Addo as the winner of the elections without the EC’s declaration, Kofi Akpaloo said, “the executives of the Liberal Party of Ghana sat down and after going through the EC certifications, we saw Nana Addo as the winner. We have conceded defeat and have made a statement already.”

“My advice is this, Akufo Addo is the winner whether you want him or not. The majority have chosen him and it affects all our decision. You have to accept it. If you don’t, the supreme court is always there for clarifications. I wish Nana Akufo Addo all the best in his administration,” he added.
