The Member of Parliament, (MP) for Yapei-Kusawgu constituency, Honourable John Abdulai Jinapor honoured the Kpabuso community with a borehole.

The Member of Parliament, (MP) for Yapei-Kusawgu constituency, Honourable John Abdulai Jinapor, has commissioned a mechanised borehole for the Kpabuso community in the Central Gonja District of the Savannah region.

Speaking at a short ceremony to hand over the borehole to the residents on Sunday, October 17, 2021, at Kpabuso, Hon Jinapor noted that providing portable drinking water to his constituents is part of his broader agenda to ensure the development of the Constituency.

 He, therefore, assured the people of his unwavering commitment to propelling the developmental status of the area.
 
“I need your support to ensure the realization of my vision to develop this our dear constituency,” he said.

A resident of the community, Alhaji Bawa, who spoke on behalf of the chief of the community, Kpabus-Wura commended the MP for his good work towards the people of Kpabuso and constituency at large and noted that the project would be a legacy that will forever remain in the good books of the people. 

According to him, the borehole has brought great relief and joy to women in the community since they would not have to go far to collect water from other sources.

Mr Bawa also pledged to ensure regular maintenance of the facility to ensure its maximum utilisation.

The Assemblymember of the area also commended the Legislator for the project and noted that it came at the right time to solve their age-old challenge of access to potable drinking water in the community.
