Jurgen Klopp has been boosted with the possible return of Trent Arnold Alexander and Naby Keita against Wolverhampton Wanderers on Sunday.

The Reds have been hit with injuries throughout the current campaign beginning from preseason where Alex Oxlade Chamberlain picked a knee injury.

Alexander Arnold has missed four of the Reds games after a calf strain when Liverpool took on Manchester City before the international break.

The Guinea International, Naby Keita has also been out for a few weeks and returned to training for the first time after the Reds 2-0 loss to Atalanta in the Champions League at Anfield.

“Trent and Naby will make their first steps in team training today,” Klopp said during his pre-match.

“There's a chance that Naby and Trent could be in the squad I would say, whether they can start or play 90 minutes I do not know.

“There are some niggles from after the game against Ajax and we have to see how they respond as they didn't do a lot apart from treatment.

“Apart from Naby and Trent no-one is coming back.”

On Oxlade Chamberlain, the manager said, “He does the warming-up with the team now, some ball work, and we will develop that over the coming days and weeks and we will see what moment it makes sense to throw him in. He's not far away.”
