The Member of Parliament of Bosomtwe, Hon. Osei Adutwum spoke on the government’s plan to transform the fortunes of the country through education hence his concerted effort with the assembly to transform the education system. He made known that the return of the NPP government to power has endowed the Bosomtwi District with five Kindergarten facilities in less than three years at Nyameani, Jachie Stem Academy, Aduaben, Apenkrah and Nkwanta.

Six Primary and five Junior High Schools were recorded to have been put up by the government in the District with some near completion and others already opened. He rendered that the One Million Dollar, One Constituency initiative made the various projects for the schools possible.

“The Kindergarten blocks built at Apenkrah and Nkwantah was possible by means of the One Million per constituency fund. Although GetFund would provide us monies but that alone cannot work out all the projects. The Common Fund and the District Development are all involved in the projects,” he said.

He further revealed that the District would have the number of Senior High Schools increase from three to seven by next year listing Pramso St. Michael’s Vocational Technical School, Lakeview SHS, Bosomtwe Oyoko SHS which is under construction and Bosomtwe Girls Senior High School at Deduako as additional schools.

“Indeed, we are happy about the educational transformation in the District. The other three schools have constructions ongoing partnered by Kuwait Fund and GNPC. Government is also constructing an Assembly Hall, Administration Block, Boys and Girls Dormitory plus two storey-classroom blocks at the Jachie Pramso Senior High School to help improve their double track system,” he added.

He discussed that the construction of the Ahinsan Lake Road into dual carriage is one of the greatest accomplishment of the NPP government for the reason that people could access the precious sites and infrastructures of the District if the road is fixed and put up.

“The people of Bosomtwe will weigh our infrastructural status to decide their vote next year therefore if such a huge project like our road is completed by the middle of next year, it will indeed boost our votes in the upcoming election,” he said.

A video projection was shown as proof of the ongoing projects in the District by the government.
