A HARD-WORKING young citizen of the Mepe Traditional Area in the North Tongu District of the Volta Region, Mr. Alex Adzah has celebrated his 35th birthday amidst the distribution of educational items to less privileged kids in the Mepe enclave.

The items that were donated on Saturday 30, 2023 were to mark his 35th birthday anniversary.

Mr. Adzah turned 35 on Tuesday, September 26, 2023.

The educational items donated are story books, pencils, erasers, and an undisclosed amount to the less privileged kids, who are aged under seven (7) years old.

So far a total of seventy (70) children of
school-going age in Mepe has benefited from the donation of the youth astute philanthropist. His target was to support about 500 less privileged kids in Mepe and beyond in the district.

Speaking to the Soireenews. com, Mr Alex noted "As I celebrate another year of life, I find myself reflecting on the journey that brought me here and the opportunities that have shaped me. Growing up in our beloved Mepe community, resources for education were limited, and I know firsthand the importance of support and access to learning.

In honor of my birthday this year, I've chosen to give back to our community, especially to the young minds that are the future of Mepe.

I have donated storybooks, pencils, erasers, and an undisclosed amount to the less privileged kids in our community, aged under 7 years old.

These essentials will help them on their journey to learn to read and write.

Every weekend, a dedicated young man, Gasutse Gakpetor in our community generously provides his time and knowledge to teach these kids, filling a gap that once existed for many of us. I am deeply inspired by their commitment and passion for education.

This cause is very close to my heart, not only because of my own experiences but also because my late father was one of the best English teachers during his days at Mepe Roman Catholic Junior High School.

He instilled in me the love for learning and the desire to give back.

I believe that education is the key to a brighter future, and I am ready to support these kids with whatever little token I can provide. To me, this is the best way to celebrate my birthday — by ensuring that the flame of knowledge continues to burn bright in Mepe.

I invite you all to join me in this endeavor, whether through contributions, support, or sharing this message with others who may be interested. Together, we can make a significant difference in the lives of these young learners.

I hope my call for support and contributions resonates with others, and together, we can continue to nurture the flame of knowledge in Mepe.

I would like to thank the support of Development360 a group of progressive indigenes of North Tongu for being a part of this journey with me.
