The National Democratic Congress (NDC) 2020 Parliamentary candidate for Obuasi East, Mr. Samuel Aboagye has appealed to party members to be united for victory in the 2024 general elections.

Mr. Aboagye made the call during his visit to the Damongo constituency in the Savannah Region on Wednesday, February 10, 2021, to show many appreciations to the Party's members for their massive contributions in the 2020 general elections.

He stated that the seat he contested traditionally, belongs to the New Patriotic Party but through the hard work of the NDC party followers, he was able to accumulate more than 50% of the votes, a performance he said was incredible.

He is however optimistic that he will snatch the seat from the NPP in the next general elections if given the nod to lead the party again in the Obuasi East constituency.

According to him, Ghana has a history of 8 years of rule for every political party, so automatically the New Patriotic Party (NPP) would be leaving office in 2024.

Mr. Aboagye revealed that President John Dramani Mahama will contest for 2024 elections therefore the party's supporters should remain resolute in unity.
