NPP Flagbearership Race: Kwesi Pratt .Jnr   Rejects Dr Bawumia And Endorses Alan  Kyerematen
The Managing Editor of the Insight newspaper, Kwesi Pratt Jnr, has launched at the Vice President Alhaji Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia and warned to rescind his decision to the contest Flagbearership of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) for the 2024 general elections.

According to the Ghanaian journalist, he could not fathom why Dr. Bawumia is vying to contest the position of the flagbearership of the NPP since the current Minister of Trade and Industry Mr. Alan John Kwadwo Kyerematen has been tipped to win the NPP flagbearer race.
"I  saying that Alan Kyerematen has been tipped to win the NPP flagbearer race, so l don't see how Dr. Bawumia can join him," Mr
Mr. Pratt disclosed this when he was speaking on an Accra-based Metro TV.
“We are talking about permutations and so on. At a time when the Alan campaign is reinvigorated and believes it is winning the primaries and at a time when most of the scientific surveys, I have seen point to an Alan victory.
“I’m sure you have seen the one which was done by Global Info Analytics. The polls are showing that in a straight fight with Former President John Dramani Mahama, Alan Kyerematen has the edge [over Bawumia]to do better”.
So, in this situation what will happen. The people who started this Alan- Bawumia ticket thought that it was a way of assuaging Alan Kyerematen so that he will come on the Bawumia ticket. That ain’t gonna work. What we see and what we know that ain’t going to work,” Kwesi Pratt insisted.
For the 2024 elections, Nana Akomea, the NPP’s former Director of Communications, advised that the Vice President and Alan Kyeremanteng be paired.

Former Chief of Staff Kwadwo Mpianim, however, has stated that the pairing will not work.
Mr. Mpianim, speaking in Accra, stated that before making such decisions, candidates should consider compatibility with their running mates.
“It is easier said than done. I do not think you will just pick anybody as your running mate if you are not compatible. You cannot work with the person. If you can work with anybody in the party to be your running mate, then maybe what he is saying can be done.”
“But even with that, the problem as I see here is, who is going to be the Presidential candidate and who will be the running mate?”, he said.
