Disappointed Independent Parliamentary candidate for Sunyani West, Bernard OduroTakyi, has said the revolutionary roots of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) puts the party ahead of all political parties in Ghana.

He said the NDC party’s efforts in seeking the wellbeing of all and sundry make the party the best of choice to consider as a political party, unlike the NPP which came from the Dankwa Busia and Dombo tradition.

The failed aspirant however said the political philosophy of both parties is different but the NPP frowns on people who do not belong to its tradition, whilst the simplicity of the NDC was evident in the organization of the 1992 constitution.

Bernard OduroTakyi cited that the general secretary of the NDC Johnson Asiedu Nketia came from the UP tradition while Dr Obed Asamoah, once the NDC national chairman and some others came from different parties.

He however appreciated the leadership of the NDC in the Sunyani West constituency for the support and warm reception they gave him, adding the 13 years he spent with NPP was not rewarding hence his decision to join the NDC.
