No Forms of Discrimination  Within NDC Because It Is  Social Democratic Party - Asiedu Nketia
The opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has begun its biometric registration of members across the country.
According to General Secretary of the NDC, Mr Johnson Asiedu Nketia aka General Mosquito the mass registration exercise which begun on 21st May is expected to be completed by the end of June 7 this year.
Speaking on Nsawkaw based radio station, Tain FM, in an interview, the NDC General Secretary propagated that the NDC party is a social Democratic party, that embraces any form of persons democratically without any form of discrimination, therefore administrating old or new members to be registered to advance the concept of a people-centered paradigm for development.
The General Secretary was of the conviction that the registration of the party's members would make their impending polls peaceful  and successful in a common identity.
"The NDC is not a party base on tribe, status or education but a party for all, which makes us disparity amongst the other parties, the party gives opportunities to everyone and no forms of discrimination", he stated.
He further bemoaned that the registration of its members has been infiltrated by some unlawful individuals who seems to be not loyal to the party.
"I have currently sanctioned some of the party chairmen for infiltrating unlawfully to the registration exercise. As a secretary to the party I need to vividly monitor to ensure that the issues that riddled previously to the registration and elections do not recur, so to have a poised party", the general secretary indicated.
The NDC has released the timetable for its internal elections approved by the National Executive Committee (NEC) of the party.
