NPP to Hold Parliamentary Primaries on June 20

The ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) is scheduled to have its parliamentary primaries for the 168 constituencies where it has sitting Members of Parliament (MPs) on June 20, 2020.

The party has already selected parliamentary candidates for all other constituencies where it has no sitting MPs

The NPP primaries have been outstanding since April 2020 due to the imposition of restrictions that followed the covid-19 outbreak in the country.

Per reports from graphiconline, the primaries are expected to be held at the electoral areas and not the previous format whereby all the delegates met to vote at one place.

The arrangement is meant to prevent the congregation of many people at one place to help prevent the spread of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19.)
