The General Secretary of the party following a breach of PNC's constitution, having served her sentence has been reinstated by the party executives.

The People National Convention (PNC) has removed its chairman and Leader, Moses Dani Baah and Hon. David Apasera respectively from the party following financial malfeasance and misconduct.

This was revealed by the Ashanti Regional Secretary of the PNC and member of the party’s National Executive Committee member, Sulemana Seidu in an extraordinary conference in Kumasi to impeach the Chairman and the leader of the party.

According to the Ashanti Regional Secretary, an amount of GH 150,000 meant for the payment of planets of party offices across the country which was deposited in the party’s account has been unlawfully withdrawn by Mr Apasera and Mr Akazabre (outgoing treasurer) in excess of GH50,000 of the amount without the knowledge of the secretary and have not rightly accounted for what they used the money for.

He read that the NEC with pursuant to Article 49(a)(4) has removed Mr Moses Dani Baah and David Apasera from office as leader and chairman of the party and therefore, Mr Bala Maikankan who is the Greater Accra Chairman of the party is now the acting chairman and leader of the party according to the NEC until new elections are conducted.

Madam Janet Asana Nabla, General Secretary, who was unlawfully suspended by the leader and chairman after calling for NEC meeting which was boycotted by the majority of the regional chairmen without informing the quorum according to Article 45(3) of the PNC constitution, has been reinstated.
