Politicians And Governments Are Not Supposed To Put Money In Ghanaians Pocket—Manasseh Azure Awuni Backs Dramani Mahama
A GHANAIAN investigative journalist and
the Editor-in-Chief of the Fourth Estate, Mr  Manasseh Azure Awuni has stated that ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) has mounted a billboard of a story in which President John Dramani Mahama is quoted as saying he is not a magician to put money into people's pockets.

According to him, that is an honest statement, saying that politicians and governments are not supposed to put money in our pockets, as we have witnessed in recent times. They create policies that allow us to work to earn our own money.
"Even if the NPP attack this statement with the argument that the government puts money in people's pockets indirectly, their recent record would still afflict them more than their opponents.
"When the Kwaku Ananse-like scammers told gullible voters in 2020 that they were giving them free water and electricity during the COVID-19 pandemic, what happened afterward? The scammers introduced the COVID-19 tax after they used the "freebies" to buy votes," he noted.
He mentioned that is not all, indicated that
the NPP administration took money directly from people's pockets by inflicting them with bonds and other investment losses.
According to him, this party has no moral right to attack someone who said he could not put money in our pockets.
"It's better not to put money into people's pockets than to take money from the pockets of those who made their own money.*
"One of my Facebook followers sent me a message about her difficulty in getting her savings at Databank and needs my help. Others are forced to keep their monies in other investment banks because they would lose a significant portion of it if they withdraw," he noted.
"Campaigns such as the money in the pocket will only remind people like this lady of the government that dipped its hands directly in her pocket and left her in pain.
"And John Mahama will benefit from the NPP's attempt to equalise in this billboard campaign," he said
