Serwaa Amihere's first public reaction

The popular media celebrity is shown in the video cuddling up to a man who is now known as Henry Fitz.

Serwaa Amihere claims that five years ago, when she personally made the private video, she "considerably underestimated the extent of my [Serwaa] influence, my potentials, what I would become and what I would come to represent to this society."

"Sincerely, I say sorry for the embarrassment, disappointment, and frustration which this matter has caused to my family and loved ones, to the distinguished businesses and brands I represent, and to you," stated in a press statement issued on Wednesday night [April 24. 2024] and posted on her social media handles.

 The footage was taken in 2019, a long time before the man in question tied the knot. According to some theories, Serwaa Amihere had an affair with the man after attending his wedding as an MC and guest.

This story has angered a lot of people who have mocked and ridiculed Serwaa Amihere. On Wednesday evening, April 24, 2024, Serwaa apologized for the shame the act has caused her family, colleagues, loved ones, and the organizations and brands she represents in a message that was released and published throughout her social media accounts.

"At that time, I significantly underestimated the extent of my influence, my potential, what I would become, and what I would come to represent to this society," Serwaa said, claiming the video was shot five years ago.

The release of the footage, she said, came "after five months of threats and extortion, alongside efforts by the police to bring the extortionists to justice." She did, however, assert in a police complaint that she paid the aforementioned extortionists, but they nevertheless released the footage.

Serwaa Amihere said she took away important lessons from this regrettable experience.
