Ghanaian dancehall artiste, Stonebwoy, has officially opened applications to his BHIM skills training workshop.

The Seminar, organized by The Livingstone Foundation (a non-governmental & non-profitable and charity organization founded by the multiple award-winning reggae/ragga & dance-hall artiste, Stonebwoy) will cover aspects of small scale farming activities, entrepreneurial development training, food & agro-food processing, fashion accessories production, production of household cleaning products, natural cosmetics production, and fashion designing.

Tagged "BHIM SKILLS", the program has stated that it's objective is to reach out to all individuals who have seen the need to acquire entrepreneurial skills but have been too affected by the global pandemic to do so for themselves.

Stonebwoy intimated that the overall aim of the program is to produce entrepreneurs who are capable of working independently with little or no supervision.

The coronavirus outbreak led to companies across the globe temporarily downsizing operations and also making employees work from home. Amidst this, several jobs were lost in companies that were struggling to spruce up revenues or had to completely suspend business in sectors like hospitality, aviation, and travel/tourism.

This has drastically increased the rate of unemployment in Ghana. It is expected to reach 7.60 percent by the end of 2020, according to Trading Economics global macro models and analysts expectations. In the long-term, the Ghana Unemployment Rate is projected to trend around 8.40 percent in 2021 and 9.00 percent in 2022, according to our econometric models.

Apart from learning how to do new things individually, the participants will be assisted by the professional employed trainers or coaches, who will guide them to help make their tasks more supervision independent thereby increasing the self-employment rate in the country.
