According to Ugandan authorities, attempts to limit the current outbreak are beginning to be successful.

The first doses of a new Ebola experimental vaccine, according to World Health Organization chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, will be delivered to Uganda the following week.

According to Dr. Tedros, a clinical trial program would examine the vaccine's efficacy against the Sudanese strain of Ebola.

He said that a panel of outside specialists had examined three different candidate vaccinations.

Dr. Tedros reported that 22 more people had been classified as likely fatalities.

73 patients have recovered from the Ebola virus.
