Update: I'm fit, but needs support - Obuasi kidnap escapee plea.

It was a miraculous juncture as a 14-year-old girl Gladys Dassah escaped death after she was lured by an unknown woman when trading.

On that faithful day, Gladys was in a state of shock for returning home safe after going through a weird moment of her lifetime.

But Soireenew's latest visit to the young JHS 2 student disclosed that all is going on well in terms of her health.

Although I was shocked based on what I went through, currently I'm fit and feeling much better. I'm able to learn and perform my duties as a young girl just like I used to do previously", 

Nevertheless, the cloth business which Gladys use to earn daily bread from has been halted after the incident occurred due to that life has been tough.

Her Jobless mother, Selina Bombie is at times unable to cater to her needs.
 
However, the victim is imploring the general public for assistance to achieve her dream of becoming a nurse in the future.

Gladys 14, a jhs pupil who resides in Abusco a suburb in the Obuasi east district of the Ashanti region escaped death after she was kidnapped by four men and a lady on January 6, 2022.
  
Gladys 12, sells cloth after school for survival. 

 Soireenews Nana Yaw Opoku in an interview with Gladys stressed that " I met a lady at the Obuasi central market who had the intention of buying some of the clothes, she told me to accompany her to where she resides to get my balance but before I realized I was in a big room with four big men together with the woman whom I met at the market".

Three of the men were holding machetes while the other one was holding a rope and a metal. I saw the woman who onboard the vehicle with me holding a bucket when I came into normal life, I was asked to shut up or my life will be taken when I came into normal life, she further added.

The victim was dropped back at the Obuasi market by a taxi with a gun pointed on the head at the exact place she was lured by the lady on the same day.

Gladys notified her colleagues to be extra careful when selling in the market.

Selina Bombie 50, mother of Gladys, said, she only gives thanks to God for her daughter's life. Adding that, women are now prominent in crime hence parents must be vigilant on how to deal with them.
