Vice President: The Government plans to Establish a Senior High Technical Vocational Institute.

Vice President Alhaji Mahamudu Bawumia explained that the government has put in place a strategy to create senior high/technical vocational institutes in various parts of Ghana in order to improve technical and vocational capabilities.

During the Apumasu festival in Ntotroso, Vice President Dr. Alhaji mahamudu Bawumia revealed that the government intends to develop a senior high/technical institute in Ntotroso in the Asutifi North District of the Ahafo region. 

Vice President Alhaji Mahamudu Bawumia explained that the government has put in place a strategy to create senior high/technical vocational institutes in various parts of Ghana to improve technical and vocational capabilities. 

He stated that to improve education and learning, the government has supplied free WiFi to 700 senior high schools, 46 colleges of education, 260 district education offices, and 13 public institutions around the country. 

He says that the government has designated Ntotroso as a beneficiary of this year's technical and vocational education. 

Speaking at the event, Barima Twereku Ampem III, the paramount chief of Ntotroso traditional council, stated that the Ntotroso community has worked hard to establish a nursing training college for Asutifi North District and the town as well, but they hope that any youth in the community who qualify for the college will be able to get an opportunity to pass through to be a part of the profession. 

He mentioned that they are looking for the ministry of education to assist them with scientific lab training and equipment so that they may have more nurse practitioners in Ghana.
