$25 million lawsuit against Trey Songz over alleged sexual assault in 2016 is settled

Trey Songz and the lady, who was named as Jane Doe in the $25 million lawsuit she brought against the singer in 2023, reached a settlement for an unknown sum, according to Radar Online.

A court date that was set for September 16 will thus be canceled. The conditions of the settlement state that "the settlement agreement conditions dismissal of this matter on the satisfactory completion of specified terms that are not to be performed within 45 days of the date of the settlement."

"The latest date on which a request for dismissal will be filed is June 10, 2024."

The lady filed a lawsuit against Trey Songz, 300 Entertainment, Atlantic Records, and the singer's manager Kevin Lilies in February of last year.

She claimed that Trey Songz had sexually assaulted her at a party in March of 2016. Trey Songz was charged in the case with sexual assault, gender violence, false imprisonment, and purposeful and negligent infliction of emotional distress.

In a statement to TMZ at the time, an agent for the R&B singer refuted the accusations.

The representative claimed, "Earlier today, the lawyer who drafted this suit was credibly accused of trying to pay a woman to falsely accuse Trey." The same lawyer filed this lawsuit on behalf of an unidentified client hours later. What is going on here is easily seen, and it is unfortunate for those who are actual victims of sexual assault.
