Aduman SHS students attacked; one in critical condition

After unidentified hooligans attacked the school, one student from Aduman Senior High School (SHS) is in serious condition, and other students suffered injuries of varying severity.

At around 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday, July 5, 2022, in Aduman, Afigya Kwabre District, Ashanti Region, the incident took place.

The neighborhood thugs cut the forehead of Mudasif Nurudeen, an 18-year-old student who is in severe condition.

Numerous machete wounds were also inflicted on the wrists, legs, and other body parts of other students.

The school administration has been contacted for clarification, but they are mum on the subject.

There were no teachers present to monitor them on campus due to the continuing teacher's strike, according to some students.

Although the cause of the terrible incident is unknown, it is thought that the notorious neighborhood boys attacked the children and stole their possessions because of the teacher's strike.

Nurudeen Dawoda, the victim's father, claims that he was informed of his son's destiny by school officials.

But when he got to the school, his son had already been taken to the Kwabre South District of Ashanti's Apagya Health Center.

When he arrived, the hospital letter directed him to the Ashanti Region's Offinso Government Hospital.

Offinso Government Hospital also sent him to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital in Kumasi for emergency care due to the severity of his wounds.

The police in the Afigya Kwabre have taken up the matter.
