He said areas like Pesantease, Barrier, Sofokrom, Accra town among other surrounding communities suffer from the annual flooding in the area, hence the move to avoid the situation where flood victims over the years are compelled to relocate.

"We do not have to wait on the government to do what we can do for ourselves," Dunkwahene, Okoforubour Obeng Nuako III declared at the presser.

He explained further that, he considers it intelligent to ensure the free flow of the water by engaging the residents to offer labour to clear the waterways from galamsay activities while waiting for the government. intervention and efforts.
