England’s World Cup qualifier against Poland on Wednesday has been interfered by a COVID-19 outbreak.

The Polish squad has recorded cases of the novel pandemic and the game could be called off due to threats.

National team manager Jakub Kwiatkowski revealed on Twitter on Tuesday that he, along with two players in the current camp have tested positive for coronavirus.

It comes after Leeds midfielder Mateusz Klich tested positive for COVID last week.

Kwiatkowski has said UEFA have been approached to determine whether or not Wednesday's game can go ahead.

A post from the Poland boss read: “The Polish national team has undergone further tests for the presence of coronavirus.

“Unfortunately, the results of Grzegorz Krychowiak and Kamil Piątkowski are positive. Due to the fact that Krychowiak is a recovering man [from injury], we started talks with UEFA in order to clarify the matter and admit [play] the match.”

“Unfortunately, my test result was positive as well. The remaining members of the training staff had negative results.”
