Liverpool will be without Fabinho during their trip to Leicester City on Saturday, Klopp has confirmed.

The manager did not give the exact time Fabinho will return but the defender could miss a couple of games.

“Fab will not be available. He suffered again a little muscle issue, so will be out for this game,” Klopp told during his pre-match duties.

The absence of the Brazilian means Ozan Kabak could make his debut at the King Power Stadium alongside Ben Davies if Klopp wants to feature both who could be available for selection.

Liverpool will travel to Budapest to play RB Leipzig in the Champions League first leg on Tuesday before welcoming Everton in the Merseyside derby next Saturday at Anfield.

The Reds season have been irritated by injuries following the loss of Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez to hurts.

Diogo Jota is one player who has been out of action for the Reds since his injury at Denmark against FC Midtjylland in Denmark on December 9 in the Champions League Group stage match.

Asked when Diogo Jota will be available for selection, the manager told, "He is on the pitch as well, individual sessions, not the same intensity as you can imagine after a longer time. In rehab, you have to train really intensely before you can go back to team training."

“Diogo [will be] two or three weeks, maybe. Probably the medical department hits me now, but I think that’s kind of possible, back in full training and then we will see how long it takes.”
