MzVee has stated that she would definitely take the coronavirus vaccine as it stands to do more good than harm.

It was earlier reported On Wednesday, 24th of February, 2021, that 600,000 AstraZeneca shots landed in a plane as part of the global effort to boost vaccine access.

History was recorded as Ghana became the first West African country to get the Covax coronavirus vaccines from the Serum Institute of India, the world’s largest vaccine manufacturer.

It was clearly indicated by the presidential advisor on Health that the President of Ghana Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo will be the first Ghanaian to receive the jab of the COVID-19 vaccines.

MzVee has now said that it would be better to take the vaccine than to not take it while speaking about the arrival of the Covid-19 vaccine in Ghana via the Kastle Drive show with Amansan Krakye in an exclusive interview on Cape Coast-based Kastle FM.

“Oh as for the Covid-19 vaccine I think it is better to take it than to stay and not be armed and probably get the virus and I don’t know what would even happen.”

“So the Covid-19 vaccine if we are asked to take it I would definitely take it,”

This comes on the back of the general skepticism that Ghanaians have adopted towards the effectiveness of the vaccines.

Ghana, which has a population of over 30m, was chosen as the first recipient of the free vaccines after promising quick distribution and meeting the criteria set by Covax.

Further deliveries are expected to neighbouring Ivory Coast later this week, the Covax alliance says.
