Government to Allow Final Year Foreign Students Entry into Ghana – Information Minister

The government of Ghana will open its borders to final year foreign students, to allow them return to the country following the reopening of educational institutions, the Information Minister, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah has said.

The minister said the necessary preparations are underway in collaboration with the Ministry of Education.

The President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo in his 10th televised address to the state announced the easing of some of the Covid-19 induced restrictions imposed on the country including the reopening of schools solely for final year students.

Kojo Oppong Nkrumah said, to allow these Final year foreign students join the colleagues in school, the Ministry of Education is liaising with the school authorities to make arrangements for them.

“You know schools are closed except for final year students. So for final year foreign or international students, my understanding is that the Education Ministry has said that they can engage with the various school authorities and some arrangements can be made for them.”
