The statement asked all Ghanaians to lift their voices and speak up against the incessant increment of the prices of petrol by this government.

Concerned Drivers Association of Ghana(C-DAG) has called on the government of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to immediately halt any impending Increment in fuel prices in order not to incur their wrath.

In a press statement copied to Soireenews in Accra, the Association asserted it has learnt of a possible increment in the prices of petrol commodities in the coming days.

The association in the statement discouraged the Nana Akufo Addo led the government to halt any attempt to increase further the prices of petrol.

The statement stressed that should government fail to heed its call, it shall either by the approval of police or not storm the streets with series of protests and demonstrations. 


"We shall fiercely resist any attempt by anybody to thwart such demonstrations. We would like to remind the government that, in 2018, a similar demonstration was thwarted by the court through the police. However, we shall not be deterred this time by any order that would restrain us. 

"We shall throng to the streets and demonstrate should there be any increment. This time around we shall embark on that demonstration with all our vehicles including those that have been grounded due to our inability to service them been towed," the statement further stressed.

It argued that any further increment will cause a further increment in transport fares also bringing untoward hardship on the good people of this country. It shall also affect our business and push most drivers out of business causing a further rise in the unemployment rate.
