Hon Benito Owusu Bio retains seat despite Independent eclipse
Nana Akufo Addo beat John Mahama by 35,517 in the constituency.
Honourable Benito Owusu Bio has retained his seat at the Atwima Nwabiagya North Presidential election, with Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo been declared as the winner of the constituency.
The Deputy Minister of Lands and Natural Resources recorded 29,932 votes, a drop in numbers as compared to his 34,759 votes won in 2016.
He suffered a drop decline in numbers compared to the presidential election where Nana Akufo Addo prevailed by 48,817 votes.

His victory was overshadowed by Independent candidates in the constituency yet pulled through with not more than 10,00 votes.
Independent candidate, Mr Emmanuel Osei Gyamfi garnered 20,037 overtaking the National Democratic Congress (NDC) candidate, Gertrude Nartey who collected 9,483 ballots.
Dr Fredrick Gyamfi Apraku also recorded 3,349 votes.
John Dramani Mahama obtained 13,300 votes, coming second in the Presidential.
