Medical Superintendent of Hillcross Medical Hospital, Mr Henry Nii Odai has has expressed shocked after finding out that, Majority  of the youth in Ghawe are having Hypertension and Diabetes. 

Henry Nii Odai said, they diagnosed with over 180 people including aged but 12 out of the 180 who were youth are having hypertension and diabetes which is alarming. 


In an interview with Soireenees.com Dr Henry Nii Odai revealed that, majority of the victims doesn't know of having hypertension and diabetes and remaining once who knows it are also using local herbs which is worsing their situation. 

Dr Henry Nii Odai called on Ghanaians  to desist from eating heavy food in the night to reduce Hypertension and diabetes in the Country. 

He disclosed this to this news outlet when they collaborated with Radiance Oil to organize a free health screening for the people of Gbawe towards the preparation of Homowo Festival celebration

The Deputy Managing Director for Radiance Oil Joseph Addai also entreated residents to go for regular checkups to reduce premature deaths..

For his part, the Chief of Gbawe, Nii Boye Kojo II and some residents  commended the organizers for coming to their aid in this economic hardship.
