IGP places GH₵20,000 bounty on Mfantseman MP's killers
The Inspector-General of Police (IGP), James Oppong-Boanuh, has placed a GH₵20,000 bounty on the killers of the Mfantseman MP, Ekow Kwansah Hayford.
According to a statement from the Public Affairs Unit of the Ghana Police, the IGP has also dispatched a team of investigators from the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) to support the Central Region’s Crime Scene Team to investigate the incidence.

According to sources, Mr Hayford was shot on the Abeadze Dominase–Abeadze Duadzi–Mankessim Road when returning from a campaign trip.
An eye witness said they were stopped on the road by alleged armed robbers who robbed them of their belongings.
