The Atebubu Amantin Municipal Forestry Commissioner, Mr Raymond Ayepah has revealed that the Hallmark of his outfit, is to improve the ecosystem of their area of jurisdiction and that of the country at large.

He said this during the launching of the Green Ghana Project at Atebubu Amantin as he led His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo's idea of making Ghana green again into reality at Atebubu.

He revealed that the Atebubu Amantin Municipal Forestry Commission, have collaborated with a lot of stakeholders including the Municipal Education Directorate to ensure that all the seedlings provided to them will develop into maturity.

Mr Raymond disclosed that it has now become the responsibility of every headteacher in the Municipality to nurture the seedlings into maturity and the National Forestry Commission's effort has been immense in putting mechanisms in place to monitor the whole process periodically.

On behalf of the Atebubu Traditional Council, Nana Ofori Yeboah advised all and sundry to engage in the planting of the seedlings to protect the ecosystem of Atebubu Amantin and Ghana at large.

He cautioned the public to desist from the cutting down of trees without replacing them since such an act will only degrade our environment which in turn will make living difficult for mankind.

Nana Ofori Yeboah emphasised the fact that "our forefathers did their possible best to protect and preserve the environment before we inherit it hence our solemn duty to also protect and preserve the environment for the next generation."
