KiDi Is A Proper Gentleman - Diana Hamilton

Diana Hamilton has hailed KiDi for his composure even though she won the Artiste of The Year award many thought he would win at the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards. 

According to her, KiDi stood up and clapped for her when she was announced as the winner instead of being childish about it.

Only a proper gentleman would do that, she opined.

This she said during an interview on Hits FM with Andy Dosty on the Daybreak Hitz show after her big win. 

It was rumoured that KiDi had stormed out of the awards when she was announced the winner of the Artiste of the Year award instead of himself, but Diana Hamilton has now noted that the rumour is false as she could see KiDi standing and clapping after the award.

He was even seen in a live video, where he sent his congratulations to Diana Hamilton for winning in that category because she also deserves it just as he did.

KiDi himself noted, on his social media page, that he could not have stormed out of the awards like that at that time since he already knew who was going to win beforehand.

The rumour started with a video that appeared to show KiDi storming off after the awards ceremony in what seemed to show his displeasure at the outcome. 

It has however now been confirmed that the video was not filmed anywhere close to the auditorium but probably the hotel where the performing acts changed their outfits or any other place but certainly not the auditorium.

KiDi further maintained that Diana Hamilton well deserved it and he will surely be back, not because of arrogance but because he knows that he can.

“I believe in the power of the tongue. Saying “I’ll be back” wasn’t out of arrogance or pride. It was just me giving myself hope.”

“I didn’t have a good performance at #VGMA22. I could have done better. A lot of things happened backstage that led to my poor performance at #VGMA22. I cannot disclose what happened to the public,” He declared.
