Lilwin asserts firmly that no Ghanaian performer can fill a stadium in Ghana to capacity

Actor and musician Lilwin firmly believes that no artist is capable of packing any stadium in Ghana for a concert in the wake of the controversy that surrounded Wizkid's infamous no-show in Ghana due to low ticket sales.

Lilwin, who has achieved mainstream success with hit songs like Ladder, Mama Boss Papa despite being an actor, claimed that some artists have in the past lied about being able to fill a stadium during their concerts just to gain clout and nothing else in an Instagram Live session with celebrity blogger Zionfelix.

The Kumawood veteran gave historical instances like the S Concert, Maccasio's performances in the north, and other sizable concerts.

The discussion began when Nigerian superstar Wizkid, despite his enormous popularity, decided not to perform at his performance set for the Accra Sports Stadium after learning that only 5,000 of the show's more than 45,000 tickets had been sold out, as we reported in the opening paragraph.

Similar to how Shatta Wale got off track when he claimed that since he himself had not been able to fill the stadium to capacity, it would be challenging for any artist in Ghana to do so.

We have never had a show like that at the stadium where you can see that the place is filled up for one artiste, said the SM boss in a recent interview. "Unless it's a political rally, if it's not NPP or NDC or maybe Pastor Mensah Otabil or Pastor Chris, I am telling you people something, write it down, or Duncan Williams, or Bishop Agyin Asare, or maybe it's Kotoko and Hearts," he added.
