MP For Agona West In Trouble Over Non-Performance In Her Constituency

THE RULING New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament (MP) for Agona West Constituency in the Central Region, Honourable Cynthia Mamle Morrison has appeared to be in serious trouble over non-performance in her constituency, with some farmers, students, youths, politicians, market women and constituents lamenting that she has gross disregard for development and their needs in the constituency.

Speaking to Soireenews.com, some people in the constituency, particularly politicians had not hesitate to pour their heart out about what they believe spells out the MP incompetence.

“As for Honourable Cynthia Mamle Morrison, she has done nothing for us. We only see her during campaign times,” bemoaned one constituents.

“She has done virtually nothing as a member of parliament. We don’t even consider ourselves as having an MP in the Parliament, the residents stressed.

However, the lastest to join the condemnation of the sitting MP is the Democratic Congress (NDC) faithfuls led by their Parliamentary Candidate for Agona West Constituency, Madam Ernestina Ofori Dangbey.

She cautioned the current Member of Parliament for Agona West to stop misusing her common found for his campaign activities.

She noted that it is high for the sitting to use her MP common fund to do social and infrastructure developmental projects and programmes for good people of Agona West who voted for her during 2016 general elections.

According to the parliamentary candidate for NDC, the Agona Swadru Hospital has completely lacked health equipment to run for the facility and as result of unavailability of the equipment, the pregnant women sleep on the floor at the facility after delivery their babies.

"We have observed that majority of major road networks in the Agona West constituency  are n the deplorable state but Honourable Cynthia Morrison since 2016 she came to power, she  has not constructed single road but she keeps her common fund and share to constituency during compaign time to vote for her," the NDC PC alleged.

The NDC PC made the statement when was addressing the gathering during a programme called, SO MU BI to rise fund to restructure the Agona West NDC to win election 2024 for John Dramina Mahamma and Madam Ernestina Ofori Dangbey as member of parliament for Agona West.

The parliamentary candidate mentioned that the roads starch from Agona Swadru to Wawase, Agona Swadru to Adjumako then Winneba junction to Swadru Road are all in deplorable state under President Nana Adfo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.

For his part, the Agona West Constituency  Deputy Chairman, Mr. Isaac Kwabina Dickson  urged the Agona West NDC to come together  and also work hard to bring former President John Dramina Mahamma and Madam Enestina Ofori Dangbey to power come 2024 general election.

He also bashed the current NPP Member of Parliament (MP) for Agona West, Honourable Cynthia Morrison to work for the good people of Agona West and stop misusing her command found by sharing it to the people of Agona West to vote for her every Election time.
