NDC Eastern Regional Chairman Legal Team  Embarks On Monitoring Mission In Constituencies During EC's Limited Voters Registration Exercise
EASTERN Regional Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Legal Team,
Lawyer Isaac Minta Larbi, has embarked on a comprehensive monitoring mission in some constituencies during the first staying of the Electoral Commission's Limited Voters Registration exercise in its district offices.

Even though all constituencies in the Eastern Region have been assigned lawyers for the limited registration exercise which started on Tuesday September 12, 2023, Mr Larbi took took time off to visit two of the constituencies in his capacity as the Eastern Regional Chairman of the NDC Legal Team.

Speaking in an interview with Soireenews.com to give update of the day one of the national exercise, the astute NDC politician noted that
his first visit was to New Juaben North with the district capital at Effiduase which shares boundary with Koforidua.

According to him, the registration was ongoing smoothly except that it was such a low turnout, adding that as at 3pm only about 13 people had been registered the whole day.
He said he took his time to have interaction with the Constituency Chairman and secretary as well as the EC officer and spent some time with them with heavy rains all over.

"I was there for about 2 hours before leaving to New Juaben South with the district capital at Koforidua.
"I must say that even as at 3.30pm that I got there lots of people were still waiting to be registered," he told journalist.
According to Mr Larbi, the  place looked very busy, explaining the executives including the Chairman had moved people from so many branches and brought them there for the registration.

Unfortunately, he noted that one of the EC machines broke down a few hours into the registration leaving all the registrants to be attended to with only one machine leading to delays.
"I was taken round the various stages of the registration process whilst observing the registration.
"As at 4.30pm it was clear many people could not be registered so we discussed with the EC Director and agreed that all the uncompleted forms would be given to the EC officers so all such people would be attended to tomorrow morning before anyone else.
'I met the Chairman and many of the Executives including branch executives and the PC," he disclosed.
According to him, the New Patriotic Party
(NPP) members were around and together with the PC we went to greet all of them and exchanged pleasantries.
He mentioned that he was informed that NPP is waiting till over the weekend to bring in their people.
"The place today was basically left for the NDC with little registration from the NPP same as I witnessed at New Juaben North.
"God willing I'll go on another monitoring mission to different constituencies tomorrow," he assured.
