NDC suspend secretary

The suspension is based on unsatisfactory job performance revealed in a letter signed by the Constituency Chairman, Mr George Ofori Nuako.

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) in Asikuma Odoben Brakwa Constituency of Central Region has suspended its Secretary, Mr Marklord Afori.

The Constituency Executive Board of the political party has accused the secretary of misconduct in the suspension letter signed by the chairman, Mr Ofori Nuako 

Diversion of limited resources (eg. T-shirt) meant for specific groups and towns during election campaign, Mismanagement of funds meant for special voters on 1st December 2020, leading to former President Mahama's woeful loss to President Nana Akufo Addo and  Mismanagement of funds meant to hired cars to transport voters to voting centre on election day badly affected both presidential and parliamentary results on 7th December 2020.

The rest are "physically assaulting a colleague executive member over pink sheet collation on 7th December 2020 and exhibition of gross insubordination towards our member of Parliament and walking out on us during Constituency executive meeting on Sunday 13th June 2021," the statement revealed.

Mr Marklord Afori has been charged to hand over and party property in his custody and "refrain from holding yourself as the constituency secretary pending through investigations into the above charges against you.

The disciplinary action, according to the party executives in the Asikuma Odoben Brakwa Constituency will remain active until a period not exceeding six months.
