Police mourn with family

Chief Executive Officer for Global Intelligence and Security and Analysis Centre, Samuel Nana Appiah has said the recent attacks on bullion vans by robbers indicate that the Ghana Police Service as an institution has not learnt anything from previous happenings.

Speaking with Kwabena Obeng Akrofi on Ark in the Morning monitored by Soiree News he said “this is not the first time the incident of this nature is happening but the police have failed to learn lessons from them hence have failed to tighten the security of personnel”.

According to him, the robbers have realised that the vans are not bulletproof hence the rampant attacks.

Young Ghanaian police officer, Emmanuel Osei met his untimely death after armed robbers shot him in a bullion van robbery.

According to a statement by the Greater Accra Regional Police PRO, DSP Efia Tenge, the bullion van was on a daily collection rounds.

Samuel Nana Appiah told that the IGP must up his games so far as the implementation of security policies are concerned.
