Scores of residents including many religious organizations living in the Klikor Traditional Area of the Ketu South Municipality in the Volta Region have lobbied for the reappointment of the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of the Ketu South Municipal Assembly, Mr. Elliot Edem Agbenorwu.

According to them, the MCE deserves to rerun the administrative affairs of the Ketu South Municipality because of his concern toward inhabitants in the 39 electoral areas by way of building schools, hospitals, water, and sanitation facilities plus investment in the agricultural sector.

"Our hard-working MCE has seen to the full implementation of government of President Akufo-Addo social and infrastructure intervention projects and programmes which have benefited more people in the 39 electoral areas within the Ketu South municipality. 

"However, this has informed our decision to appeal to His Excellency President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to reconsider the appointment of the current MCE for the second term because the MCE has done a lot to bring the total transformation to the people in the area," the residents on behalf of the President of Local Council of Churches at Klikor noted.

According to them, the MCE has seen to the provision of potable water facilities to the needy communities including the people in the Klikor Traditional Area of the Ketu South Municipality in the Volta Region.

 They noted that Mr Agbenorwu fixed the water problem of the residents in the area which situation, they say, is improving their socio-economic activities.

The provision of the water facility and other social intervention projects and programs by the MCE to the people of Klikor has informed the decision of Local Churches at Klikor to name Mr Agbenorwu as the best societal transformer MCE in the Volta Region under the President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo’s led New Patriotic Party (NPP) administration.

The MCE who was appointed by President Akufo-Addo for the past three and half years ago was recognized by the Local Council of Churches at Klikor for his unrelenting strides of excellence towards the positive transformation of the communities and the great impact he has made by adding value to humanity.
