SOME AGGRIEVED teachers in the country have demonstrated against National Teaching Council (NTC) for its decision to deduct GH¢150.00 from their professional development allowance.
According to them, it absolutely unacceptable for the Council to take GH¢150 cedis from teachers to organize workshop for them.
Speaking to the newsmen at a peaceful demonstration at Ghana National Association of Teacher (GNAT) village at Ejisu Abankro in Ejisu Municipal Assembly, the Conveyor of the Aggrieved Teachers, Mr. Kwadwo Adarkwah stated that the Ghana National Teaching Council is using diabolic means to deduct some amounts from the salaries of teachers union,
According to the teachers, they cannot continue to sit down for NTC to take their money, the development which had informed their decision  to demonstrate against the NTC and the Ministry of Education to resign from that decision else they will see their bad side.
He said for the past two years the Ministry of Education together with the NTC deducted their money to procure laptops for them.
"But close to two years a lot of them have never received their laptops so they will never allow them to deduct their money for any workshop," they noted
