Ghanaian singer MzVee has revealed that she did not expect the type of reception that she has been getting from fans in Ghana on her return to the music scene describing the reception as "crazy".

After news of her comeback spread like wildfire in January, fans have been showing massive support to the singer and are now determined to help her stay in a cheerful mood to completely banish the state of depression that nearly ruined her life.

"Ghana is not an easy country; you don’t just get up and leave and expect to come back and everyone is giving you hugs and kisses. People will forget you,” she said.

“It’s happened to a lot of people so for it not to happen to me and for me to receive more love, is something else,” she revealed in an interview on TV3's New Day.

“It’s been really crazy. It’s been exciting, it’s been much more than I expected especially on social media. When I post a picture, the comments are very emotional and I can tell people have missed me; people are waiting for me to do more,” a lively MzVee told host MzGee.

The singer was not active in the music scenes for nearly two years after she made known of her depressing state at a very critical level.

"When my whole depression thing happened, I did un-follow people… I just wanted time away. I was lashing out in ways I didn’t even understand…I pulled away from everyone…I coiled up in my shell,” she revealed while adding her colleague, Efya, helped her recovered.
